IT Support Specialist
Objective
The IT Support Specialist provides primary support for workstations, network devices and peripheral equipment in a desktop and help desk environment. This position requires the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible. The successful candidate will be required to provide IT support to all customer levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter.
- Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems (laptop, desktop and thin clients).
- Maintain inventory overview of hardware and software.
- Develop and presents equipment, software and policy training to staff and end users.
- Maintain documentation of processes, policies, and systems.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades to ensure all systems are up-to-date.
- Test system updates and patches as well as application rollouts and troubleshoots issues.
- Provide support and set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords and ensures users can securely access data.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Provide help desk support and specialized technical assistance to system users, escalating issues as necessary.
Best candidate will have the following profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or IT related field a plus.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support capacity.
- Previous experience in Desktop Support, troubleshooting, deployment, and asset management preferred.
- Understand networking concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- An excellent understanding of computers (both hardware and software) and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology.
- Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms.
- Proven ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.

- 8 hour shift
