Scientist III
Kiromic BioPharma, Inc. is looking for a scientist with a PhD or MD degree with 2 or more years post-doctoral experience. This position’s goal is to develop and assess gene therapy modalities against inflammatory diseases, with their ultimate use in clinical trials.
Skills needed for the position include:
- Ability to work with DNA, RNA standard tumor immunology (standard methods, T-Cell cloning, TCR, Elispot, Elisa T-Cell killing, T cell CAR therapy)
- Experience with mouse models is desirable
- In vivo gene expression Analysis
- Ability to communicate and work with others
The job location is near downtown Houston. Houston provides a high level of cultural, intellectual, and sports activities, and is near by gulf coast beaches and lakes.
Senior Laboratory Technician
Kiromic BioPharma, Inc. is looking to hire a Senior Laboratory Technician. The senior laboratory technician manages daily laboratory operations in conformance with all company and regulatory requirements. She/he will be actively involved in assigned research projects under guidance of senior research personnel. More specifically, she/he will:
- Perform laboratory experiments in the fields of cell & molecular biology and immunology
- Conduct routine laboratory procedures such as preparation of media, bacterial cultures, agar plates, and reagent stocks
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and results in laboratory notebook and databases
- Follow directions on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with high attention to detail
- Proactively communicate with supervisors to ensure optimal work environment
Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory and company (method evaluations, quality assurance issues, etc.) - Process purchase orders and maintain accurate inventory of laboratory supplies, cell lines, and reagents
- Maintain a safe work environment for self and others
- Perform other tasks and duties as required

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Associate’s degree in basic science or related field
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field
Minimum Experience:
- Two years of research laboratory work experience
- Must have hands-on experience in ELISA, PCR, Western blotting, and mammalian cell culture
- Experience in processing blood and tissue samples and protein expression/purification preferred
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Strong communications skills (oral and written)
- Must be able to carry out job duties independently following a brief period of specific technical training
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be available to work occasional overtime during evenings and weekends as required
